My favorite month, December is here! Why I love December so much is because of the jolly Christmas season where we can gather with friends and family. That being said, venue for Christmas date and gathering is VERY IMPORTANT! What a coincidence that I’ve found the perfect place to celebrate Christmas with my loved ones this year – and this place is none other than Cincin Wine Bar & Grill @ Cheras.
Cincin Wine Bar & Grill, Cheras
If you’re wondering what Cincin means, no, it’s not related to any ring. In fact, Cincin means cheers in Italian language. So remember to say “Cincin~~” when you toast! Cincin Wine Bar & Grill is strategically located in Cheras as it is just opposite Cheras Leisure Mall. They are the first restaurant in Cheras that serves fine dining Western cuisine with wine pairing using premium wines from Wine2U. Ambiance wise, I’m totally sold as Cincin restaurant is so romantically cozy and elegant. Plus, the two-storey restaurant is spacious enough to hold parties, events, and any large gatherings. The ground floor is mainly for beer and casual dining while the first floor is for wine dining. Do take note that the dress code is smart casual for wine lounge. With so many wines available, you’ll be spoilt for choice. For those who are into wine, this would be like heaven to you but what if you don’t know much but would still wanna enjoy a glass of good wine? Don’t worry, the staffs are well trained and they will recommend it to you. In fact, I did learn a thing or two about wine from the founder of Cincin during this session. Come on, let’s go on a date and see what’s nice at Cincin this Christmas! I’m usually not a fan of salads but look at the generous portion of smoked salmon! I can’t say no to this. Coupled with delectable crispy croutons and balsamic vinegar dressing, this Caesar Salad is actually a great dish to get our feast started. For white meat dishes (Salmon Caesar Salad, Grilled Portobello, Poached Salmon), we’re with Padre Pedro Reserva Branco White Wine. This pale straw color wine has a balanced acidity, with an intense aroma of apricot and hints of melon. Moving on to the soup, we had Clear Soup with Truffle Oil; a lighter kind of soup as compared to the creamier ones we normally have in Western dining. The scent of Truffle Oil was quite prominent, which shows that Cincin were quite generous with their ingredients. I’m loving this Grilled Portobello Mushroom because it’s just so so so juicy! Through flavor layering with bacon bits and cheese sprinkles, the dish’s taste has been enhanced significantly. It’s great to know that Cincin offers a wide variety of dining options which includes dish selection for those who are health conscious. One of it would be Poached Salmon. I find that when you have fresh ingredients, the best way to cook it should be simple so that you can still taste the freshness and the original taste of the ingredient. When I’m out for a feast, I personally prefer something with heavier taste. This is why I like Grilled Lamb Rack in Red Wine Rosemary Sauce. It’s very flavorful and most importantly, tender. I don’t mind another serving of this. Since lamb is red meat, we paired it with Red Wine this round. The red wine we had was Aldeya Tinto
Variety: Tempranillo, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon (2015) that exhibits equilibrium between fresh fruit and balsamic scents. The desserts at Cincin Dining are all very unique in terms of taste and look. I’m sure many of you ate Creme Brulee before but Hojicha Creme Brulee is definitely something new! On top of the torched surface, there are many cute little edible flowers that instantly lifted my mood once I saw them. Creme Brulee has always been a sweet dessert but with Hojicha, it actually makes it less sweet but with more flavors added. Ballerina is such an eye catching dessert isn’t it? This is a meringue shaped like an egg. Inside, you will find some sweet and sour treats. I’ll leave it for you to discover on your own instead of spilling out everything. On the outside, it was beautifully decorated with pretty edible flowers and bits of fruits. We took the chance to celebrate birthday for November and December babies. Everything is so perfect! The heart shaped red velvet cake is so pretty. They also have firework candles! OMG! I wanna have this too for my birthday next March! Membership:
