Klang has been so famous with Bak Kut Teh and seafood, but do you know that the cafe scene has been booming here too? I recently found a hidden gem that’s perfect for cafe hopping in Klang when I was here for an event! Introducing, Awakening Cafe by Iggo.

Awakening Cafe by Iggo @ Bukit Tinggi, Klang

The location is pretty convenient as it is located just beside AEON Bukit Tinggi Klang. You can even walk over when the weather is good. The interior inside is cozy enough with a touch of Scandinavian feel. You’ll see a lot of light wooden furnishings complemented with black and white details. The ambiance is just perfect to chill and relax after a hectic day. Here comes my recharge session!

Drinks @ Awakening Cafe by Iggo

Awakening Cafe focuses more on coffee but it’s amazing that they also offer a wide array of drinks suitable for everyone, be it adults or kids. From coffee, non-coffee, and tea, just take your pick! 🙂

The first drink that caught my attention is this Signature Chocolate Cubes. Pour cold milk on the frozen chocolate cubes and watch them transform into a rich, velvety chocolate drink that instantly lifts you up as you take a sip.

I’d definitely wanna try this again. It’s such a mood booster! Plus, it’s also suitable for people who are caffeine intolerant.

On a scorching hot day, I’d wanna reward myself with a glass of Iced Latte here. It’s a perfect ratio between coffee and milk.

Not many cafes offer Chai Latte, so I’m glad that Awakening Cafe offered this. If you love the taste of exotic spices in your coffee, don’t miss this!

In order not to let the taste of coffee be diluted by ice but yet chilled, opt for their iced shaken coffee instead. For something more refreshing and citrusy, try Sparkling Yuzu for a change.

Isn’t this intriguing? Instead of ice cream in a cone, Awakening Cafe wittily came up with Coffee in Chocolate Cone! You can actually request for any hot beverage to be put inside the cone. Drinking coffee from the cone is indeed a new experience for me. The most awesome thing is, there’s a thick and rich layer of chocolate inside the cone so every sip and every bite is not boring!

Food @ Awakening Cafe by Iggo

Salads aren’t just about greens at Awakening Cafe. I’m sold when I saw this tantalizing bowl of Scotch Egg Salad. The highlight is of course the perfectly prepared scotch egg embedded in crispy minced meat. The crunchy leafy greens, alfalfa sprouts and cherry tomatoes practically made it whole.

Since salted egg yolk has been quite the hype nowadays, they have added Salted Egg Yolk Chicken Chop into their new menu. It didn’t disappoint as it turned out to be crispy on the inside, tender on the inside. Dip it into the yummylicious salted egg yolk sauce to heighten the flavors.

Chicken Parmigiana is a popular Italian-American dish whereby fried breaded chicken breast is topped with homemade tomato sauce, chicken ham, and melted mozzarella cheese. Served with greens and fries on the side. I find this dish irresistibly sinful.

If you love seafood and salted egg yolk, don’t miss this creamy Spaghetti with Seafood in Salted Egg Yolk Sauce. Served al dente, chilli flakes were also added into the pasta for an extra kick. I personally prefer it to be less spicy though.

Look at the holy Bacon & Mushroom Carbonara! Creamy pasta that comes with a generous amount of bacon pieces and topped with grated cheese and herbs is just too irresistible! Not to mention the runny raw egg yolk that delivers ultimate foodgasm.

If basil is your thing, don’t forget to order Spaghetti with Fried Calamari in Housemade Basil Pesto. They whipped up their own basil pesto in-house for maximum freshness! Topped with lots of crispy fried calamari, it’s certainly a filling dish.

Desserts & Snacks @ Awakening Cafe by Iggo

There’s always space for dessert isn’t it? Looking at these photos got me salivating already. Among the desserts, my favorite would be Affogato due to the strong and robust coffee with generous scoop of vanilla ice cream. Banana Crumble with Chocolate Ice Cream has a rich banana taste with thick texture. Mixed with Chocolate Ice Cream, nut sprinkles and caramel, there’s a lot going on in a bite.

Gathering with friends and gossiping about the latest happenings while munching on some snacks like this Truffle Fries with Parmesan Cheese is going to be so much fun!
