Being a KL girl, I don’t have a hometown to go back to during Chinese New Year. So, I went on a staycation at Pearl International Hotel KL because I didn’t want to get caught in the massive jam during festive season. Aren’t I smart? :p Finally get to rewind without having to travel far! As I was staying in Pearl Premier Room, I get to enjoy personalized check-in at the Business Centre @ Level 23.

Pearl Premier is newly-designed rooms in 2017 with a modern elegance concept to suit business travelers. For the best comfort, the room is equipped with Naturatex Luxury Latex Mattress and Goose-feathered pillows. Oh so comfy!! *jumps*

Aside from TV with satellite channels, you can also connect your phone to the Bluetooth audio speaker to play your favorite song. Spammed all my favorite Korean songs!

At first, I panicked a little when I found out I forgot to bring my phone charger along! You know, I rely heavily on social media. Hence, my battery drains quite fast. Luckily the room has USB charging ports. *phew* Next, let’s check out the washroom. OMG! There’s a bath tub! YAY!!! I’m gonna make use of the bath tub for sure because soaking in the bath tub is the ultimate relaxation.

The shower area is also equipped with rain shower head.

The premium toiletries provided are from ELEMIS, a skincare brand from UK.

If you didn’t know, I’m a coffee addict. Hence, imagine my excitement when I saw a coffee machine in my room. Complimentary 2 capsules were given by Pearl International Hotel.

They also include 2 bottles of water, 2 bottles of juices, and a pack of nuts, COMPLIMENTARY! How generous! Plus, in-room facilities like iron, iron board, digital safe, and hair dryer are also available.

Tea Time at Executive Lounge ON 23 (3pm – 5pm)

Executive Lounge ON 23 offers a mesmerizing view of the city skyline and is exclusive to members-only and Premier Floor Guests-only.

 

Tea time session is from 3pm – 5pm, so don’t forget to enjoy your complimentary tea set!

What’s in the Tea Break Set:

• Chicken & Cranberry Sandwich  (Shredded chicken mixed with fried cranberry in bread)
• Mini Beef Burger (Grilled beef patty on a bed of salad in mini burger bun)
• Strawberry Cream Puff (Soft puffs filled with strawberry mousse)
• Coffee, tea or fruit juices

After digging in, let’s take a dip in… the swimming pool!

Don’t play play yo… the swimming pool is 1.5m in depth! I just played at the children’s pool LOL

For fitness junkies, you don’t need to skip your workout routine because Pearl International Hotel has a well-equipped gymnasium that has treadmills, cycling machines, and weights.

Cocktail Hour at Executive Lounge ON 23 (6pm – 8pm)

We get to pick our cocktail choice for cocktail hour. For alcohol, they’re serving brandy, whisky and vodka. Those who prefer juices can opt for fruit juice too.

What’s in the Cocktail Hour Set:

• Spanish Scrambled Egg Frittata (Spanish style cold egg omelette)
• Albondigas with Pinto Tomato Salsa (Juicy lamb meatballs topped with a zesty tomato-based sauce)
• Oat Breaded Fish Finger with Wasabi Mayo (Fried seabass stick covered in oats topped with Japanese fusion sauce)
• Corn Tortilla with Chili Corn Carne & Corn Salsa (Toasted tortilla topped with spicy corn carne and corn-based relish)
• Mediterranean Mini Tartlet (Chef’s special recipe of mixed vegetables in tart shell)

Lunch & Dinner @ Cafe 5 (Open daily from 6.30am to 11.00pm)

I’ve always loved dining at Cafe 5. It’s a complete dining experience in a relaxed ambiance. For dinner, we chose from the a la carte menu which offers tantalizing local & international delights. After we checked out the next day, we opt for the monthly promotions showcasing special cuisine. For the month of February, they had Fiery Fish Head Curry and Western Mania promotion.

Pearl Prawn Cocktail – Succulent sea prawns served on a bed of shredded lettuce, pineapple cubes, fresh vegetables and zesty cocktail sauce

Rib Eye Steak – Pan-seared beef rib-eye served with mashed potato, ratatouille and mushroom gravy

Pan-fried Seabass – Fresh seabass sautéed with cherry tomatoes and green asparagus in garlic butter cream gravy

Buffet Breakfast at Executive Lounge ON 23 (8am onwards)

The next day, we had Buffet Breakfast at the Executive Lounge and then caught their Lion Dance performance at Pearl International Hotel’s lobby. The breakfast spread was above my expectation! They had many food selection that will be prepared upon ordering.

After the performance, I went back up to my room to catch up with some blogging tasks before resuming to laze around in my room.

I can’t wait for my next staycation at Pearl International Hotel! Their package for Pearl Premier room (MYR 320/night) is super worth it since it came with complimentary Buffet Breakfast, Afternoon Tea and Evening Cocktail Hour. Thank you for the warm hospitality!
