Review + Giveaway: Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+

I’ve been using Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel for some time now as my main moisturizer when I’m not trying other brands for review purpose. Yeah, I’m using the gel variant since my skin is considered as oily type. How serious it is? Hmm… my face turns oily in an hour after washing! =.=

So far, this moisturizer is working perfectly fine for me as it’s quite lightweight but the problem is, it’s finishing up already! NUUUU~~~

Lucky me, an invitation to do a review for the newly formulated Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ arrived in my inbox! Ahhhh my life is so blessed with awesome people around! ^_^

YAY! It’s Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+

According to Clinique, a bottle of Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion is sold every 4.87 seconds! The formula has remained the same since 1968 but the dermatologists have been running trials and researching for this new formula since 6.5 years ago. It’s really not easy for them to come out with the best possible formula.

So you might wonder whether there’s any dramatic difference in their new formula. Their new formula now helps strengthen skin’s own moisture barrier by 54% in 8 weeks with a blend of sunflower seed cake, barley extract and cucumber fruit extract while retaining moisture with additional ingredients; hyaluronic acid, glycerine and urea.

Aside from the ingredients, everything else from packaging, that familiar signature smell and yellow creamy texture still remains the same. It’s 100% fragrance free though so it’s also suitable for sensitive and easily irritated skin.

Since Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ is formulated for Very Dry to Dry skin (Skin Type 1 and 2 according to Clinique’s standards), I avoid applying it on my T-zone because it’s supposed to give dry skin and natural glow. If I apply it on my already glowing with oil T-zone, I’m afraid it will look super oily. So I incorporated this lotion into my skincare by applying moderately on dry areas only. Absorption rate is pretty good, I just need to massage it in circular movements for 2 seconds and the lotion is gone. Skin stays comfortably hydrated all day without an extra drop of oil.
