- Moisturize, moisturize and moisturize
If your face feels tight after washing, you’re having dry skin. Moisturizing is one of the essential steps in taking care of your skin so having a good moisturizer is very crucial. Your moisturizer should also be suitable to your skin type. Pair it with a good toner like Cellnique’s Soothing & Hydrating Lotion to prepare your skin for better absorption.
- Drink at least 8 glasses of water per day
To keep skin well hydrated, be sure to drink at least 8 glasses of water per day to keep skin well hydrated, improves blood circulation and removes toxin from inside. When your skin lacks water, it will be come dry and peeling.
- Avoid smoking, caffeine and alcohol
Caffeine, alcohol and cigarette can bring negative effect on the skin. It’s better to avoid or lower the consumption if possible. Smoke can trigger oxidation allowing oxygen based free-radicals to attack your skin cells.
- Consume more vegetable and fruits
You are what you eat. The food you eat can directly reflect on your skin. Food containing high omega-3 fatty acids like salmon and trout can provide natural moisture for your skin from within. Besides, Vitamin A is also essential in repairing skin damage. Example of food that contains Vitamin A are carrots, pumpkin and sweet potato.
- Apply moisturizing mask regularly
If you have time to spare, you can DIY your own moisturizing mask. Honey is a very good moisturizing natural ingredient while aloe vera can help to soothe and calm dry skin. If you’re a busy bee, just grab some masks from the nearest Cres Wellness!
