JOICO K-Pak Professional @ RE:DO [Review]

Before I went for honeymoon, I was invited by JOICO for a great hair pampering session at RE:DO Hair Boutique @ Solaris Mont Kiara which specializes in their unique service of Korean hairstyling, coloring, cutting and perm.

 

The hair treatment that I did uses JOICO products and is called K-Pak 4 Step System. Just a brief introduction on JOICO; JOICO is a division of Zotos Inc., a Shiseido company that has been pioneering in hair-science and artfully blending it with the latest innovations in hair care to offer exceptional quality and lasting beauty from inside out. P/S: Read until the end to see before/after treatment photos. The result is very obvious!

I was really looking forward to this hair pampering session because my hair was really dry for some unknown reason (I seldom dye or color my hair). I do apply conditioner after washing my hair but according to the hair stylist, that’s not enough! I need to use the right products for my hair type and not just simply use over the counter brands. Also, hair conditioner can only smoothen my hair but the nutrient will not absorb into my hair unless I use hair mask.

The K-Pak 4 Step System contains:

Step 1: K-Pak Clarifying Shampoo (2-5 minutes)

An intense clarifying treatment that cleanses the hair and removes mineral deposits, impurities and styling product buildup. This step is very important as your scalp’s cleanliness can determine how well the nutrients will be absorbed. K-Pak Clarifying Shampoo is formulated in a creamy texture to leave hair feeling moisturized and smooth to enable easy wet-combing.

Step 2: K-Pak Cuticle Sealer (5 minutes)

If you frequently have chemical hair treatment, this step is very crucial for your hair’s recovery. K-Pak Cuticle Sealer works to smoothen and tighten the cuticle, locks in curls and color, and reduces pH of your hair back to its natural level at 4.5 to 5.5. Cuticle will be locked down and sealed, while diminishing raised or swelled cuticles.

Step 3: K-Pak Deep Penetrating Reconstructor (5 minutes)

After conditioning your hair to tip-top condition, K-Pak Deep Penetrating Reconstructor re-energizes stressed, damaged and chemically treated hair, rebuilding the hair structure from inside out. This product contains more Quadramine Complex from any other products in the JOICO family.

Step 4: K-Pak Intense Hydrator (5 minutes)

Last but not least is K-Pak Intense Hydrator that replenishes moisture and lipids to overly dry, damaged hair, transforming it to manageable, soft, shiny and hydrated (perfect for me!). The intense hydrator also seals the hair cuticles and improves hair elasticity.

Step 5: H.K.P. Liquid Protein Chemical Perfector (optional)

H.K.P. is a pure liquid form of human hair keratin protein that improves chemical services as a porosity equalizer when used for color or to improve hair’s strength and integrity when perming or straightening.
