Khoo Kongsi (邱公司) is a mark of the dominant presence of Chinese in Penang and it is the grandest clan temple in Malaysia. It is well known worldwide for its extensive lineage that can be traced back 650 years, as well as its closely-knit and defensive congregation of buildings and a magnificent clanhouse. There are three entrances that you can use to reach there; Cannon Street, Beach Street and Armenian Street.

With an entrance fee of RM 18 per person, I got to hear exciting stories and history about Cheong Fatt Tze (張弼士) and his blue Mansion from a plump middle aged lady for an hour. Her story telling skills surprised me and she’s quite funny.
