If you’ve been following my tweets closely, you’ll surely know that I had an enjoyable time with fellow bloggers last 2 weeks at Resorts World Genting for a mooncake tasting and workshop session! I brought Michelle Leong along with me as a plus one 🙂

I didn’t actually realize I tried so many mooncake flavors until I edit the photos! Genting has introduced some new mooncake flavors to their range, namely Snow Skin with Kiwi Fruit Paste, White Lotus Paste with Black Sesame Yolk, Sweet Corn Paste with Chestnut and White Lotus Paste with Ginseng and Red Dates.

Snow Skin Mango Paste (RM 10.50+)
I really love Snow Skin mooncakes because it’s so hot here in KL! Eating some chilled Snow Skin mooncakes can definitely cool me down. The light yellowish Snow Skin Mango Paste mooncake tastes soft and full of mango goodness! If you’re planning to get some mooncakes for your children, you wouldn’t go wrong with this. Try pairing it with Flower Tea 😉

Snow Skin with Kiwi Fruit Paste (RM 10.50+)
A fusion of traditional mooncake and healthy fruits like kiwi brings you Snow Skin with Kiwi Fruit Paste. Can you see the watery content of it? I feel like wanna give it a bite right now! I think it’s perfect for health concious people like me because sometimes I do feel guilty for indulging in so much good food. At least I can tell myself that there’s fruit inside = healthier alternative! And I love the fact that they use real fruits instead of flavorings.

Healthy White Lotus Paste with Spirulina Skin (RM 11.50+)
I’m really surprised that Genting has came out with so many healthy mooncake flavors. One of them that I really like is Healthy White Lotus Paste with Spirulina Skin. I have been consuming Spirulina as a dietary supplement for quite a long time now so I’m really curious how mooncake with Spirulina would taste like. I expected it to taste very ‘green’ like green tea with a hint of bitterness, but I’m glad it tasted more mild than that. I wouldn’t want to eat bitter mooncake during mid autumn LOL!

White Butter Skin with Pandan Sweet Corn Paste Yolk (RM 11.00+)
The name White Butter Skin with Pandan Sweet Corn Paste Yolk might sound complicated, but who cares? Cos it tastes awesome! The white butter skin is very buttery yet not too oily for consumption and the yolk is made with custard and mixture of flour. YUMMY!

White Lotus Paste with Black Sesame Yolk (RM 11.50+)
Have you ever saw mooncake with more than 2 colors? It’s my first time when I saw White Lotus Paste with Black Sesame Yolk. Not too sweet and packed with health benefits of black sesame, I’ll surely buy this for my parents! FYI, black sesame is very good in promoting healthy and black lustrous hair.

Golden Jade with Single Yolk (RM 11.00+)
An all-time favorite, Golden Jade with Single Yolk is made using pandan flavored lotus paste to represent jade and as you can see from the photo, there’s kua chi inside too to deliver a more satisfying bite.

Green Tea Lotus Paste (RM 10.50)

Durian Lotus Paste (RM 10.50+)
Everyone was anticipating the Durian Lotus Paste mooncake! Finally satisfied when we’ve got to taste it =)
The paste was made using real durian paste mixed with lotus paste and then processed before they put it into the mooncakes. It tasted like Durian Dodol that you can get in Malacca but this comes with crunchy kua chi! Best paired with Tie Guan Yin.

Red Bean Paste (RM 7.80+)
Any Red Bean lovers here? If you are one of them, I’m sure you’ll love Red Bean Paste mooncake. A bite on it reveals a strong fragrant of red bean and delicious salted egg yolk.

Low Sugar White Lotus Paste (RM 11.00+)
Low Sugar White Lotus Paste would be perfect for the elderlies. I plan to buy some for my grandparents as I think that low sugar ones are the most suitable for them. You know, it’s really important to look after their health and make sure that what they eat doesn’t affect their sugar level too much so they can indulge without the need to worry.

Lotus Paste with Double Yolk (RM 11.50+)
As for myself, I’m a big fan of salted egg yolks so Lotus Paste with Double Yolk is just perfect! Now, who wants to buy me some huh? *hint hint*

White Lotus Paste with Ginseng & Red Dates (RM11.50+)
I’m sure most women are familiar with the smell and taste of Ginseng and Red Dates because these are the ingredients we always use to boil soup for nourishment. Putting these into a mooncake is very unique indeed.

Assorted Nuts ‘Ng Yan’ (RM 11.00+)
A unique combination of almond, walnut, sesame, dried winter melon, olive and kua chi delivers a satisfying crunchy bite in Assorted Nuts “Ng Yan”! The one thing I really love about Genting’s mooncake is their mooncakes have thin skin and have lots of fillings. Don’t you agree? 😉

Money God Cookie (RM 4.40 – 2 pieces per pack)
Last but not least in the variety is Money God Cookie! Remember 猪仔饼 (piggy biscuit)? It tastes just like it, made using flour added with lotus paste for a not-so-dry texture. So if you love money, please buy this and invite Money God into your tummy LOL!
