In just a week’s time, Chinese from all over the world will be welcoming lunar Year of the Wood Horse. Aren’t you excited? Friends around me have been telling me that as they age, they don’t feel the excitement of Chinese New Year already. Isn’t that sad?
Last week, I was invited to the launch of Petronas’s CNY Communication Campaign at Delicious @ Dua Residency. If you haven’t knew, Petronas has a history of coming up with commercials that are meaningful and touch the hearts of their audiences.
Therefore, I was pretty excited waiting for them to unveil this new campaign that comprises a specially produced 3-minute web film titled “Young Hearts”, a 60-second and a 30-second versions of the film as TVC.
After a simple formal speech by PETRONAS representative, it is time to watch the long awaited web film with the theme “hope and optimism” in mind.

What do you guys think after watching the web film? Did you get inspired and know how to find back the enthusiasm you’ve once had? “Young Hearts” aims to inspire us to hold true to our values, appreciate our rich culture and importance of family ties. As long as we look at life with the same enthusiasm while we were just kids, a better and happier life will follow. Try to find excitement in the simple things you do, like shopping or decorating the house for CNY. BTW, I also love the simple and sweet love line in the web film =)

I couldn’t smile anymore after watching the web film, not because it was bad but because I was reminded of my grandma… I was holding back tears. This would be the first CNY without her =(

To end the event, we were served with delicious food and Yee Sang while enjoying music from Chinese orchestra performance.
