Review: method Malaysia Surface Cleaners

Both Clumsy Boy and I have been travelling more frequent than usual last month – that’s twice a month to Penang for a total of 2 weeks! As a result, I came back to KL with cough. I just went to consult doctor yesterday and was diagnosed with lung infection. Doctor advised that it’s best if I don’t further irritate my lungs with dust so I figured that this is probably the best time to give our home a “gotong-royong” session. Let’s get rid of all the dirt and dust at one go since I’ve got some new surface cleaners from method Malaysia. We’ll start with method Antibac Toilet Cleaner first! ^_^ Why did I start with this first? The reason is simple – it’s the dirtiest part ever at home! The stains are GROSSSS!! Eww~~

Germs are definitely a no-no but I don’t want to use products that contain toxic chemical too because it beats the purpose! We eliminate germs for a better health but toxic chemical steals back our health LOL! Thankfully, method’s toilet bowl cleaner is using citric acid eliminate bacteria and dirt. It comes in spearmint scent, just like our favorite chewing gum to cover the unpleasant scent from toilet bowl without irritating our nostrils.

I totally love the design of this bottle – just twist the top portion to toggle between open and close, no cap required!

To clean: Twist to open. Squirt under rim. Brush. Flush. To sanitize: Empty toilet bowl, squirt to cover surface. Wait 5 minutes, then brush and flush. To disinfect: Empty toilet bowl, squirt to cover surface. Wait 10 minutes, then brush and flush.

After 15 minutes, our toilet bowl turned from yellowish to squeaky clean! YAY!

Let’s be honest here – Nobody likes to do cleaning but it’s essential! The best we can do is to pick the products we use wisely to shorten the time and effort needed. Next up on the list to clean is none other than the basin that we use to wash our hands and face everyday. By the frequency of usage, it gets dirty really fast and I really can’t stand seeing the stains everyday! Here comes method Bathroom Cleaner in Eucalyptus Mint scent to save the day.

method Bathroom Cleaner is suitable for basin, tub and tiles which means basically, you can use it for the whole bathroom. Glad that I don’t need a lot of energy and effort to get the grime gone considering that I’m still sick – all thanks to the plant-based formula with new powergreen™ technology that dissolves soap scum + pesky stains. Tried and tested by yours truly, method Glass + Surface Natural Glass Cleaner is a greener alternative that can effectively eliminates dirt, dust and pesky handprints using a corn-based solvent, so ammonia is not needed as their ingredient.

To use: Spray. Wipe. Admire. Suitable for most non-porous surfaces.

This awesome glass cleaner gives an invigorating aroma of cool, crisp peppermint accented by a refreshing fusion of eucalyptus leaves and icy wild mint as the wind blows so we took our time to clean the windows =p Last but not least, it’s time for method All-Purpose Natural Surface Cleaner to make its grand entrance.

It cuts grease and grime efficiently with naturally derived, biodegradable ingredients like corn and coconut. It’s amazing to learn about the power of mother nature!

I had a hard time deciding on where I should test method All-Purpose Natural Surface Cleaner on because it can be used practically anywhere – counters, tiles, stone, wood and glass. Finally decided to use it on floor tiles near the gate since I had a tough time trying to clean them previously but to no avail.

To use: Spray and wipe.

Another plus point is, the bottle is made of 100% recycled plastic. French Lavender is my favorite scent, it makes me feel so relaxed. If French Lavender is not your thing, you can opt for cucumber or pink grapefruit too. I have a feeling they’ll smell yummy =p I really enjoyed using method products because I’ve always wanted to minimize carbon footprint and be more environmentally friendly.
