So a golden opportunity to get a hair makeover came when Miriam asked on Facebook whether anyone wanna do Japanese Cold Perm as a model or not. I’ve always wanted to restyle my hair because I feel very frustrated handling my messy and frizzy hair plus it doesn’t look straight nor curly. It’s curly at parts I want it to be straight and vice versa. But then again, I’m not a person who love changes. Kinda worry that I might not like how I look later. Don’t care la, in the end went to Nekderx Academy @ Damansara Perdana to do it. Never try, never know.Before Japanese Cold Perm The appointment was delayed half an hour because they had a workshop earlier and it ended later than expected. So we went to The Curious Goat cafe that is just beside Nekderx and I ordered a cup of Chai Latte. It was sooo good, that nostalgic feeling crept in since I haven’t had Chai Latte for quite some time already.

I actually didn’t know what kind of event is that. I initially thought it’s some kind of competition because there were a few models and the stylists were divided into different teams. Through conversations with them, then only I found out that it’s a workshop. Before they start to work on my hair, they discussed on how to cut it, asked how I like the curls to be (I prefer large curls so it will look more natural and less matured) and then explained to the Japanese sensei (Mr. Matsumoto from Serio Salon, Japan). He will give them some pointers and then after he approved their idea, they can start to execute it.Milbon Inphenom Accel Water/Milbon Inphenom Inner CMC They were so good to help me spray on Milbon Inphenom Accel Water and Milbon Inphenom Inner CMC first before cutting my hair. So jaga my hair! ♥ The team in charge of my hair was from Hair Impression, Penang and the stylist who cut my hair is called Pessy Tai. Her hair cutting speed was so fast but it turned out really good. I’m impressed!Japanese Cold Perm in progress The best thing about Japanese Cold Perm is, it doesn’t involve heat so I assume it’s better than digital perm cos excessive heat can damage hair. So what they did was curl my hair with curling rollers and keep squeezing the solution onto my hair (like, a lot!). After 15-20 minutes, my hair was rinsed and blow dried. They checked my hair and cut a bit more to further perfect it. Matsumoto san also came over and help cut my side fringe to make it look more natural and feel lighter. Here’s the outcome!After Japanese Cold Perm I quite like it! Most of my friends also commented that this style looks good on me.

The whole process only took 1.5 hour. Super fast! I expected to sit there for 4 hours LOL!A closer look on the effect of Japanese Cold PermJapanese Cold Perm Experience – I look like a cunning fox here LOL!Milbon Deesse Elujuda Emulsion Unlike rebonding, permed hair needs to be maintained. They suggested me to apply Milbon Deesse Elujuda Emulsion while my hair is still wet and let it air dry. For cold perm, hair tends to be more curly when it’s wet.After 2 weeks of Japanese Cold Perm After 2 weeks, the curls looked more natural than before. Photo taken in my room at Estadia Hotel. Need to keep twisting my hair during blow dry but most of the time, I just let it air dry. BTW, Nekderx Academy is not a salon ya so don’t go there to get your hair permed. They’re just importer and distributor of haircare products and equipments. This academy is mainly to educate their clients on how to use their products.
