The Living Hope 12th Anniversary Charity Bazaar will be held at The School by Jaya One this 14th of July 2019 from 11am to 7pm.
Living Hope 12th Anniversary Charity Bazaar with MediSavers and Roti Ayam Kampar
This annual event has grown tenfold since their humble beginnings in 2007. Expect nearly 100 stalls offering food, beverages, gifts, games and necessities from Living Hope 12th Anniversary Charity Bazaar this year. There will also be performances, modelling by Amber Chia Academy children, as well as products for sale. All the proceeds will go towards helping feed, clothe and educate underprivileged children of all races in Malaysia. Proceeds from the charity bazaar help fund Living Hope’s programmes for underprivileged children, which include One-Egg-One-Child Feeding Programme (OEOC), Educate-A-Child Programme (EAC), Toy and Book Library (TBL) and Education Resource Centre (ERC). Dr Peggy Wong – the founder of Living Hope – is passionate about serving the community and reaching out to children who have been dealt a bad hand in life. The corporate partners of Living Hope 12th Anniversary Charity Bazaar are MediSavers and Roti Ayam Kampar. The School by Jaya One is the venue sponsor for the charity bazaar. They’ve sponsored the location for several years running. Taylors University and Sunway University will be providing close to 200 student volunteers to help with the event. MediSavers specialises in providing healthcare management inclusive of annual blood screening and facilitating medical and personal accident insurance coverage. Their premier healthcare membership package is MediSaversVIP. They’re providing organisational and management expertise to the charity bazaar as well as helping with ticket sales. Dato’ Marcus Kam Kok Fei, CEO of MediSavers, shares his reasons for helping with the Living Hope Charity Bazaar. “We should be thankful for whatever we have, and try to share what we can, with the less privileged. Many people, many hands mean many resources and effort. We need to share a little bit of time and resources with the less privileged.” Mr Sam Tang Sy Shyr, COO of MediSavers, affirms that giving and helping others should come from the heart. “Helping disadvantaged children is intended to let them build life goals and create a ripple effect. When they grow up, they are able to do their best for their country and society, and continue to do the same for other children.” Roti Ayam Kampar serves authentic curry chicken bread from Kampar, fresh from the oven. Mr Kelvin Chan (Operation Manager of Roti Ayam Kampar) credits his upbringing to his passion for charity. “My mum has taught me since young – we give without remembering, we receive without forgetting. So, when we have the ability to help the children, we give our full support. It is their right to have an education, food, fun times with friends and family.”
