Glitz and Glamour at One World Hotel 10th Anniversary Celebration One World Hotel 10th Anniversary was held at its Imperial Ballroom to honor 650 guests which include clients, suppliers, travel agents, government agencies, regular guests, bloggers and members of the media. The grand Imperial Ballroom @ One World Hotel The theme for this grand celebration is “Casino Royale” and hence, for the first time ever, there’s a casino in One World Hotel Petaling Jaya.Charmaine X Pretty Mama-to-be, Lin But first, let me collect some casino chips and try my luck! Don’t worry, this is totally legal because there’s no money transaction involved. I just need to win more chips to participate in the lucky draw! The event kicked off with a twin aerial silk performance followed by a welcoming speech and toast from the owners and directors of the hotel, YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Teo Chiang Hong and YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Teo Chiang Kok respectively. The milestone celebration was officiated with a 5kg cake-cutting ceremony graced by the family’s matriarch YBhg Puan Sri Datin Cheng Gek Hong.Aerial silk performance during One World Hotel 10th Anniversary Celebration We were all treated to a sit-down dinner in the grand Imperial Ballroom. First appetizer: Poached Lobster and Baked Tomato topped with Blueberry Cous CousSecond appetizer: Beef Carpaccio, Fennel and Orange, Green Shisho Leaf with Oil Pesto VinaigretteSoup: Double Boiled Abalone Soup and Fish Maw with Cordyceps FlowerMain course: Combination of Oven Baked Salmon with Garlic Paste and Chicken Roulade served with Potato Dauphinoise, Vegetable and Mushroom SauceDessert: Orange Yoghurt Mousse with Vanilla Chantilly Cream One World Hotel’s 5 top supporters including Gullivers Travel Associates (GTA), Hotelbeds, Quintiq Sdn Bhd, Malaysian Sheet Glass Sdn Bhd and Expedia Travel received awards for their part in building a relationship with the hotel. The event successfully ended by the grand lucky draw, with the top prize of a travel voucher worth RM6000 courtesy of Parlo Tours Sdn. Bhd. Other attractive prizes included iPad, 60” Sharp TV, tickets to Bali and Bangkok as well as hotel’s dining, room and spa vouchers! I was keeping my fingers crossed but unfortunately, luck wasn’t on my side. Looking forward to more celebrations with One World Hotel Petaling Jaya!
