Review: Ultrasonic Premium Treatment @ Number76 Hair Salon, Starhill Gallery

One of my new year resolutions is to have a healthy looking hair in 2015. Imagine how thrilled I was when Sue Ann contacted me to review number76’s hair services on Christmas Eve. BEST SURPRISE CHRISTMAS GIFT EVAR!!

So after my long Penang trip early of the month, I made an appointment to visit Number76 @ Starhill Gallery (finallyyyyy!!). The moment I stepped into Starhill Gallery, I felt intimidated seeing so many men clad in black suit like bodyguards. I assume they’re Starhill Gallery’s staffs but my confidence is super low because of my frizzy and dry hair.

Upon reaching Pamper floor, I can immediately spot the strategically located Number76 Salon. I was greeted in Japanese by the staffs there as soon as I entered. Felt so welcomed by the VIP treatment! They let me use the VIP area which is also open to Muslim customers for more privacy. Kudos to them for being sensitive towards Muslimah’s needs.

My stylist for the day was Xuan, a Senior Hairstylist who has more than 10 years experience. I totally let her in-charge of taking care my hair today ^_^

I was being served a cup of tea and biscotti as soon as I sat down. They also handed me a few magazines just in case I feel bored during the session.

I was supposed to do Ultrasonic Iron Treatment initially but after Xuan inspected my hair condition, she said that I needed a more powerful treatment and hence, the Ultrasonic Premium Treatment. Before the treatment started, I was given a relaxing hair wash to cleanse my hair and scalp thoroughly to ensure that the nutrients from the treatment can be absorbed as well as possible.

I totally love the hair wash experience. The guy who helped wash my hair kept on asking whether I’m feeling comfortable, how was the water heat, etc. He even gave me a scalp massage. They also put a fleece blanket on my lap so I wouldn’t feel cold and eye pad to relax better. So attentive and soooo comfy until it gave me goose bumps LOL!

After the hair wash, Xuan and her colleague helped me to apply the treatment cream onto my hair section by section. Then, she used the Ultrasonic Iron device to iron my hair. From the first impression, it looked as if the device is going to feel hot but it’s totally opposite! I was misled by the red light. Apparently, the device will not emit heat and it will produce some kind of mist when in contact with water and turn to blue light.

The iron has enhanced effect on all chemicals such as hair color, perm lotion and hair treatment that are applied to your hair. It vibrates at 37,000 beats per second, separates particle of protein, water and oil in hair treatment to penetrate deep inside your hair. According to Xuan, Ultrasonic Iron Treatment is number76’s signature treatment and is highly recommended to those who have dry, frizzy hair and damaged hair due to frequent coloring, perm or rebonding. So what’s the difference between Ultrasonic Iron Treatment vs. Ultrasonic Premium Treatment? For the premium version, they will do the process for twice. Which means after ironing my hair, it needs to be rinsed again and then the treatment cream was applied to my hair and ironed.

Ta-dah!! So here I am, transformed from an ugly duckling to a beautiful swan (tak tau malu la I). Hehe… anyways, I was really satisfied with the treatment’s outcome. My hair feels soft, smooth and nice! Confidence leveled up and I walked out of Starhill Gallery #likeataitai XD
